I have concluded that the r1 isn't for me. That being said, i need some advice on restoring it to factory settings. Unfortunately, i didn't use the alienwarerespawn software that it came with. What are my options.. I don't have much installed, but i changed some settings/drivers for optimal performance. Will the CD's do the trick?

Just take you personal information off the laptop and thats usually good enough, they'll wipe the hdd before reselling it. You can use the recovery partition already on your hdd to do a full system restore to make sure none of your settings or files are there. Second method is much safer.

Just erase your personal data and send it back as-is. They will re-image it anyway.

Yup. Wipe the drive, and send it back to them.

You don't need to restore to factory settings. They will re-image the drive anyway.

The CD that shipped with it should work. Its what I used to do a fresh install on my r1.
