I added a Corsair P256 SSD to my M11x, I just have to say WOW. A night and Day difference in boot up, shut down, app loading, and just about everything else. Newegg has a $100 rebate for them too until 6/30. You can get the P128 too, it has a $40 rebate. Best upgrade I ever made. :)

I want one so badly, but I just can't afford those prices, maybe an 80 gig, but am I going to put on that, my os and maybe half my games?

I hear ya. Took me a while to finally break down and get one. The $100 rebate is what pushed me to go for it. :)

Hey guys, did you use an external dvd drive to reinstall Windows on it? No driver needed for the computer to recognize it?

I recently got an Intel X25-M G1 80GB on eBay for $110. The Hard Drive score in the Windows Experience Index is at 7.4 - pretty good. That being said, for my usage, it's not a huge difference. I might be atypical, but I almost never shut down my PCs - only put them to sleep, so wakeup only takes a second or two anyway. I usually leave all my apps running as well, and only run a few - I actually don't notice a speed increase since Windows was keeping my handful of apps in superfetch anyway. Only when I launch a game do I really notice, but I'm not sure that was worth $110 - I might end up just putting the SSD back on eBay and hope to break even.

RE: payday4ray - I used an external DVD drive to install Windows with no issue. I tried to do a system backup and restore, but my system size was just a tad too big for my SSD so it failed.

The lack of vibration and quietness of the SSD is a plus for me, besides performance.
