I have a m11x R2 and a m17x R2 both equiped with an Intel SSD x25m (160Gb) i noticed some differences in speed on these machines after doing some benchmarks. while both machines have the same disk i think the SATA controllers are different when it comes to speed. I think the differences in processor do make a difference, can anyone confirm this?

I'm sure things would seem quicker with the M17x, it is alot more powerful. Not too sure about the differences in SATA controllers between the machines but are they running the same firmware? I have an X25-M as well and just updated to the latest Intel Toolbox 3.0 today which also gave me the option of installing the latest firmware. I feel that it has definitely made it a bit snappier and well worth the update.
