Has anyone else noticed that when the screen is black you can see tons of marks on the screen from the keyboard?

If so, is that covered by Dell?

Normally it's simply oil as tears pointed out. Keys contacting the screen can also lead to permanent scratches as is the case on mine.

There have been owners here that have reported having their LCD assemblies replaced due to scratches. I'll be waiting until I'm further into my warranty before contacting Dell about it though.
