Just received my m11x R3 last week.
I let Windows run through its usual course of 28 updates.... and then some more over the weekend.

After the initial updates, I adjusted my power settings and screen savers... no problem. The screen saver ran fine.... until Sunday... then everything started lagging. The small preview shows proper frame rate, but when previewing full screen the frame rate is about 1 fps. Then when I let it go to the screen saver naturally over time, the same 1 fps is present. No adjusting or even different screen saver seems to help.

Games still play fine, and the computer itself does not seem to lag... only the screensaver. And, if anything corresponds to the change it was some windows update along the way... of which there were more after the initial bunch.

I looked at the Nvidia control panel, and it cannot identify the driver version and wants to download the latest version. I know this is probably a dell thing... but I wanted to know, is it safe to update the video drivers with the suggested nvidia ones? There is no corresponding suggested update on the Dell site... it says everything is up to date. I do not even know if the video card is the problem. Other ideas?

I don't really care if the screensaver is lagging, it is just annoying that it was running perfectly and now it is not... with no obvious reason for it. My concern is that something is dragging the system down and the screensaver is just a casualty....

    Anyone observing similar problems?

Screen savers still work fine on my other laptops.... so what gives with the m11x slowdown? Plugged in at max performance on both Intel and Nvidia... 1-2 FPS.

    No one else observing this?
