    Hey all,

Does anyone here know that the green stuff from the screws is called that locks them in place?

When the Dell tech replaced my case from peeling paint, he didn't put it back together properly and the left-hand edge is sticking up by 1mm.
As little as it is, it's annoying. I keep scratching/grazing my hand along it, it just feels rough.

I've opened the case and know which screws are causing it.
It's holding it too tight, so I loosened the screws, to give more slack for the case (but then the palmrest pushes down when I type).
I believe that if I can apply some of the tightener stuff it would mean that I don't have to tighten the screws as much yet thay'll still hold the case without it giving way.

Also, I'm thinking that I may have to apply some filler along the left-hand side to add an extra 1mm to support it, not sure.
Just if anyone has any ideas for the correct materials, it would help a great deal as this has been annoying the hell out of me.

Sorry for this being so vague, I'll post some pics.

    Cheers.

It's just called Lock Tight or something like that, it's extremely common and has probably a hundred different brands. Just go down to your local hardware store.

    That's the stuff!
    Completely forgot its name.

    Thanks.

Any idea for what to use to lift up the case?
