    Hey guys,

I have been noticing whenever I play Dirt 3 (or any game) my computer will run smoothly at 40-50fps for a minute or so and then just lag like crazy... I have my computer propped up and a cooling pad on the bottom. Any ideas? Settings on dirt are not maxed out or anything basically everything on medium.... and AA to 4x

    Need an answer asap

What temps are you getting? Normal temps, gaming temps, and the temps when it starts tarding out and running like crap. That will help confirm or rule out overheating.

GPU looks okay, CPU may be getting a little hot though, but that should not be causing the slowdown at that temp.

I think you should take a look at this article. If the temperatures are getting above 90C I would recommend you to get a cooling pad or maybe try repasting it.
