I ordered my m11x a while back, and it's set to ship around the 10th. I just recently read about the refresh. I chose the m11x for it's balance between gaming and weight/battery power for when I go off to university. Should I go ahead and send my system back? I'd be curious to see a solid price-point and what the 2010 Intel Cores actually have to offer the m11x.

There has been no official release date for the refresh yet. Which means it could be in a month or as late as next year. I'm thinking it's going to be a little while since there is a shortage on the icore ULV chips. So I say keep it! You won't be disappointed with it and it'll be awesome to take to school with you. I take notes in class with mine and then on my break I play some MW2 and still have enough battery power to take notes in the next class.

I would agree, my m11x performs beautiful with most modern games like Mass Effect 2, F.E.A.R. etc. I haven't got a DVD/CD burner, so I don't know how the burning performance would be. I like mine a lot, IMHO

Went out and bought myself one from BB nearly 2 weeks ago. Same day I bought it, the "official" announcement was made in regards to the Refresh. Upon reading the announcement, I decided to wait on opening the packaging to ensure I could go back to BB for a full refund if any furthers news regarding official date and price point(s) were announced. No concrete announcements were made, so I opened it up 2 days ago. Put it through some rigorous games while OC'd (CPU) and so far so good. Today was the last day to return it if any problems occurred.
I'm quite happy with it. Much more portable than my Gateway 17" P6860 FX lappie (which more or less has become my permanent bedroom "desktop", as it's plugged in to my 24' monitor and 32" LCDTV).
Another main reason why I decided to keep it is: I'm never keen on getting Launch products. I like to wait a while to see if or what problems may exist with most Launch electronics. -
I knew about the refresh... So what? I got mine for an incredible price, everything works perfectly!! the performance is suberb. The btuild quality is awesome, the lights the look... I have to admit the processor is "weak", weak compared to the last laptop I had (p9500 @ 3.2ghz)yeah 3.2ghz was insanely fast and almost the double of power... But as for now I havent fully taxed the cpu... It performs decently! the games run beautifuly, I got 7019 3dmarks! I dont know guys but at least for me thats very powerful for gaming. I love this laptop...

I'd keep it. Not sure there is going to be much benefit since the current CPU is more than adequate for daily/school use, and most games are GPU based. I'd say your fine. Plus you'll be paying extra. I'd just get a good warranty for the system. In the event that it needs to be replaced, it may get replaced with an R2 if the phase out the R2 which I see happening since it's happening with the M17x R1.
Should I keep it?
