Ok they sent me a box a day ago so i can send my m11x r2 for a free hinge repair, But i was wondering do i take out my hard drive?

I herd people taking there's out before sending it in.

    Thanks :)

Oh and also what do they all replace? Just the hinges or the whole top lid screen and hinges? I herd they replace the whole thing on some threads.

Yes, I would if I were you. They don't need your HDD.

    Not sure what they replace.

You can remove it - they replace the full lid and lcd assembly - they may however need to test that things like the wifi and keyboard are working afterwards so if you remove the drive they might not be able to test those.

This is incorrect they do not need the hard drive. I take mine out for any type of repair due to possible data loss and or stolen data. Also they have harddrive a they will put in to test the system yours in not required as Mr. Fox has pointed out.

Let us know how the repairs go. You don't need to send the HDD

Just wanted to give a update on the repair :)

I got it back yesterday and the whole top was replaced! lid screen and hinges :)

    was fast to.

Everything looks brand new now, My top lid was pretty scratch up cause i bought it refurbish, And the hinges are nice and sturdy and feels much better.

Im ony updating now because i ony sent it in last Friday cause i didn't have the time, So they got it Tuesday and it was shipped the 5th and got it the 7th.

But yea great service and very fast. I really don't think there's other company's that's will take care of there products like this out of warranty :)
