Should the M11X be brought back with a XPS 12 convertible form factor?

The Dell XPS 12 has probably been the best-reviewed convertible tablet overall and has gotten a LOT of interest. And I was thinking...why not use the same sort of hinge for Alienware's first touchscreen device and Windows 8's first real gaming-friendly convertible tablet?

11.6" 1080p IPS display (pretty common for Win 8 Ivy Bridge tablets)
    Duo-style hinge
    full-power i5
    640M
    SSD
Price starting at $1100 or $1200

Use it like a tablet when you need that. Use it like an ultraportable laptop when you need that. Use it as a small gaming rig when you want that. The ultimate in versatility, particularly for students.

Why wouldn't this be a good idea?

From a consumer perspective? Not a bad idea at all. I'd love to get my hands on a machine like that.

From dell's perspective though, probably not a good idea.
The big question is how large is the market for such a laptop/tablet? Seeing as how the M11x is discontinued, the market at the time was not large enough to reach their expectations. I'm not sure how the market for ultra-portable performance laptops has changed, but if it doesn't grow substantially I have doubts dell/alienware will re-enter the market.
