hey, just been reading an old review od m11x on cnet, and read this...

There's also a SIM-card slot into which users can connect their own 3G SIM card for true go-anywhere Internet access. Unfortunately, Alienware has yet to install a 3G modem in UK-spec M11x machines, but the company will add this as an optional extra 'in a few months'.

i know the review is outdated, but will i get this with my ELS edition?

I just tried to configure one on the UK site and there was no WWAN card listed, so I think the answer is no. You can always buy an aftermarket WWAN card anyway, and there are tutorials here on how to manually install a new antenna for it.

Interestingly, they're offering a 500gb momentus XT as an HD option, and it's cheaper than the regular 7200rpm drive!

thats a shame about that :(

ive seen the momentus offer as being cheaper, seems great, although the deal i got on saturday excludes that choice :(

the ELS is a great deal tho :) Thats the one I went for, and immediately whipped out the 500GB drive and popped an SSD in there!

There are two mini pcie slots inside, one has the wifi card on it, the other is empty :)

but to answer your question - ESL = Electronic Sports League - pro gamers thing. They have a partnership with Dell (currently) and have deals on some Alienware computers.
