Hi guys,
Has anyone ever managed to get Simcity 4 Deluxe to work on the R2 or R3 with Optimus? I've heard of there being issues with it and don't know if it has ever been resolved.
And FYI it's currently $5 on Steam for today so I encourage you all to buy it![]()
Thanks

I play the game and ya, I can't get the graphics card to run when playing. But still, the integrated intel card is good enough. I have the i7 R2

OOO cool thread. I got the game after seeing the Steam sale yesterday - lots of fond memories playing it back in the day when it came out. I haven't had a chance to run it up yet, but the thread has inspired me. I'll get back to you.

Well installed it, and as TownFries said it will run with the integrated graphics (which means more play on battery of course). I got it whitelist to use the Nvidia chip, and it runs fine, a little faster but not much. It's not really a smooth game anyway so I wouldn't really worry about it - runs fine.

Cheers for the info guys, bought it and now just waiting for my R3
Hoping for some Mass Effect sales over the next few days -
Yeah that would rock wouldn't it. I'm tempted right now to go and get "Dwarfs" after seeing a few vids of it. I got Mass Effect 1 at Christmas in the Steam Sale that had it going for about 7 bucks, but didn't get 2 yet (haven't had a chance to play and finish 1 yet). If they drop Mass Effect 2 at 10 bucks then I'm all over that.

Yupyup - you called it Galcius!

Fantastic news! Picking up both once I get home. I think I have enough games on my backlog to last me the rest of the year

Tell me about it - steam is slaughtering my bank balance with all the sales they have been running this year.

Has anyone succeeded in making this game work? I'm on an M14x and 5FPS is not acceptable.
