Skyrim Volume too low? maybe a fix here (worked for me)

Well I'll make this a thread so I think more people will look at it
When I installed skyrim on my r1 everything was fine, I just noticed that the game volume was too low
I left the game with the main screen to hear the song and I culdnt hear it without headphones or from 3 meters from the m11x so I found this fix on the internet and some of mine

on the control panel > hardware and sound > sound menu
select your speakers (realtek high definition audio for me) then > properties > then go to enhancements tab > and check the loudness equalization, then re-launch skyrim, and check for differences on audio, this helped me but

then I went to the SRS tab on the sound menu checked to enable SRS technology (this is from realtek HD audio controller) and selected the game option

then the game really sounded really good and noticed I can hear everythig just fine and not with max volume
I hope this helps also I have on the advanced tab the sound set to Studio quality 24 bit, 44000 Hz

I just registered to say Skyrim really has a low volume (maybe only happens in some computers).

I tried the loudness equalization fix as you said and it really worked for me, and now the volume is higher.

Hi all, Im having the same low sound problem with low sound on my M17x-R3!
Im not seeing the SRS tab on my audio player in Sound (IDT High Definition Audio on mine).
If anyone could be more specific on where this was I would be forever appreciative.

The low volume issue with Skyrim seems widespread. I've ran the game on 2 different desktop PC's and 2 different laptops and all experienced the low volume problem.

sweet man worked for me to on asus g74sx!

 

Find somewhere in the settings where it lets you change equalizers to presets and put it on Gaming. See if that works.

 

I've got to say thank you. I've been having to have my sound up insanely high and this fixed it. I have a Realtek sound card too but as I am using HDMI sound, the Realtek settings don't have any affect on that. I'm going to install Soundblaster X-Fi MB though and see if that helps any.

 

Oh my gawd!!! Thank you! Im not playing Skyrim on a laptop, but hell even my headphones sounded like cheap pieces of plastic brought on special!
And they are AKG K181's for crying out loud!
Damn! The sound now coming out of them makes me glad I'm not playing a horror game!
