    Hey guys,

First I'd like to thank dell for fixing my m11x's hinge but unfortunately I noticed some dust and a small piece of plant matter entered behind my screen. Luckily those are not that big of an issue because now they are behind the black borders.

However, a major problem is that there is a really large smudge behind my screen. Almost looks like water entered there. How am I supposed to open the glass part to clean the backsides? I'll post a picture soon of the issue I'm having.

Also, this smudge is really apparent outside because of the glare.

I love my m11x but it takes a long time to send it to Dell because I've got to send it to my uncle in california and then wait for some time to get it back. It sucks being an expat. :(

I believe there was a good disassembly video by Alienware themselves on youtube a while back, so check that. If I recall correctly, it has the complete disassembly instructions including separating all the parts of the screen assembly to get at the LCD itself. Both the videos I've linked below should be able to help you safely take your unit apart and clean the LCD or even replace the screen if it comes down to that.

I'd recommend ordering some replacement double-sided tape stuff to seal it, cause if you use same one it will just leak dust and water back in delivering same issues.

obviously work in the most dust-free place in your house too.

If you still require assistance from us you can send me a PM and I'll ask for another replacement due to the issues with that one.
