Is it just me or do you think you're wireless minicard isn't very strong? I get very weak signal from 2 rooms away from my router. I have a fairly new one, too. Also, this is an old house, the walls aren't brick or anything. It's a very weak wall. If i'm right, do you guys know if I can download an update for it so that it get's stronger wireless signals? Because i'm constantly losing connection. It sucks! :(

    Help appreciated! :) Thanks!

There's been a few threads about it not being very good. I haven't had trouble myself but haven't used it at a very far distance. If you're willing to replace it, I know people have given suggestions with what they've replaced it with if you search for those threads.

Yes indeed. It's actually really easy to get to on the bottom--not quite as easy as the RAM, but it's not much further in, either. There's a screw or two holding it in, and with those out, it slides out much like RAM.

ah. perfect, then! Now i'd have to either find a replacement, or a solution. And do you think there's one that'd be the right size?

I have the default card, and I get 4/5 bars in the wireless, and I´m in the second floor in my house, while the router is downstairs in the living room...

    I have a Netgear router....

Swapped with an Intel 5100. Kicks the Dell (Broadcom) WiFi adaptor all over the floor, and them some (range, primarily).

Yup, I hate those Broadcom adapters. Swapped out my Dell 1520 for an Intel 5300. No more buggy software or dropped connections!

This. I hated that stinking Broadcom adaptor. It couldn't even get a connection through 3 simple, hollow walls with about 30ft to the WiFi point (some DIR615 unit).
