Why dont you switch the bios from "switchable" -> "Discrete" and put 258.96 or 258.49??? Works great on my machine.

Playing, Metro 2033, Crysis Warhead, Battlefield and JC2.

The love has already been given, you just have to accept "the love"...

Newest GPU driver is 197.72 which is quite old. In fact, Nvidia released them back in March.

I would, but I run the machine mostly on the Intel GPU for battery life. (Crazy, I know? Using an M11x for battery life!?)

Besides, that love came from Nvidia, not Dell. :p

It's not too much to ask that the R1 get the same revision driver as the R2, is it?

Also, I'm not a fan of using the "other" drivers out there. Nor am I interested in creating my own hybrids. I tried that once & got errors & crashes when trying to play games. (desktop worked alright tho... :\

BIOS, I'm not so much concerned about, because I have no issues....but I figured I'd ask for those who are. What I am concerned about is that my right speaker has recently died on me....but that's another thread.

Any insight, Erawneila? Not looking for miracles, just some info tossed our way about a possible GPU driver update?

Personally, I would rather DOX create some magic for us Nvidia 335mGT users... Something that really utilizes the 72 pipe we have.

    Best wishes,

The 197 series are very stable and very good drivers. 256 and up are currently pretty buggy but are getting much better starting with the release of 258.96. Don't get fooled by the driver version numbers, both sets are very new as are some of the 198 series.

Dox AFAIK is on a bit of a hiatus, though he is always working on stuff. Once the stability of these drivers settle down a bit I am sure Dox will release some new ones with input from me if he continues to try to include Hybrid Graphics support. I was given the go ahead by him a while back to include his optimisations in my driver sets but have not done so up to this point.

Needless to say there is always a lot going on behind the scenes. Some of it works out some of it doesn't. Supporting and optimising drivers for as many notebooks as Doxs driver package includes is an extremely daunting task.
