    Hello there,
well I'm thinking of buying the Alienware M11x to~ >_>
I'm going to use it for School, Games and some I-net work (Homepgae etc.)

But well here are my Question's :

Actually i want to play Games like Crysis, Aion, FC2, New Vegas ...
can i play these Games with that M11x too, with Medium~High Settings or is everyone low :

    "Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Prozessor SU7300 (1,3 GHz, 800 MHz, 3 MB)
    2.048 MB 1333 MHz Dual-Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2 x 1.024]
    Original Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit
    320GB (7,200rpm) Serial ATA Festplatte"

    ....

Or is it better to get 4GB worth of main Memory!?
Also how much difference does it give from 2GB to 4 GB?!!?!?

    Next Question ....

    Is the diffrence from the
    "Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Prozessor SU7300 (1,3 GHz, 800 MHz, 3 MB)"
    to the :
    "Intel® Core™ i5 520UM (3M Cache, 1.06 GHz)"

big ... !? I meen the SU7300 has 1,3x2 while the i5 only gives me 1.06x2 and i heard that the Turbo mode in SU7300 is better then i5 o_0!?

So i dont get how much better the i5 can be?! Or is?!
Also next Question if youre really saying i5 is better do i need there 2 or 4 GB ram too ?! to have it way -> better?!

Hope you understand my Question ~~

    friendly greetings :D

Definitely go for 4Gb of ram.

I have the R1 (core2duo) and while I haven't played any of the games you listed myself, it should run them.

While it used to be true that the i5 and the SU7300 were about equal in performance, with the advent of the program ThrottleStop, if you overclock the i5 and use ThrottleStop, the i5 will blow the SU7300 out of the water.

In terms of Frames Per Second?
Probably not, unless if a game is heavily CPU limited.

In terms of pure CPU power? About 2x, if both are OC'd (counting Nehelems slightly higher IPC over Conroe/Penryn).
