I went to the Dell website to download M11x drivers since I am about to install a SSD in the system and saw that they had some new OSD Application, Synaptic touchpad driver, and Freefall sensor driver that were just put up today.

Long story short, I'm not amazed.

what did they even do. They have the freaking graphic already made for the mute/unmute... i'll photoshop it for them in literally 5 seconds. So freaking lazy and unfinished. I haven't seen a laptop without the Volume up/down indicator for YEARS and YEARS....

This isn't as simple as adding a few jpegs to the OSD program or it would have been done a while ago, but the good news is that we should have this resolved sometime next week, barring any problems during test.

    Thanks,

    Erawneila, that is fantastic news!

Forgive me for dumbing it down so much, I do realize there is more to it, but to be fair the most difficult part of it would be the graphic design as the foundation is already laid (the OSD program is already written, just need to update it). Need only to add a few lines of code in that displays the proper OSD for where the volume is currently set at.

Either way, tell the engineers I said thanks :) and here's the volume at 100% (10,000 hours in mspaint)

    I kid i kid, I'm a jerk i know ;)
