Hi Aliengirl_x. I think the Soundblaster X-FI MB CD is probably the same as the one I received with my new Dell L702X notebook and the Dell Part Number on the paper sleeve is 0P78KY. I believe that is the Dell part number you should try to order.

Just FYI, the CD itself has P/N # PVG99 printed on it. Finally, the activation key sticker on the back of the sleeve has D P/N T15YP on it with a 20-character activation key. I assume this is needed if you install the software (other than using the Dell factory recovery program). Of course, the recovery program is useless if your hard disk completely fails and then CDs or some other system image backup would be necessary.

Thanks for the further info! + rep. I'm still waiting on hearing back from Dell; I think I will use this info and try contacting them again. I wonder if there is a way to back up the Soundblaster software I have installed, as Dell may just never send the disk, and in case it gets wiped out from my system.

I have tried the realtek from dell site as well the one came with the laptop. Also wondering if there is there a specific order i need the drivers installed as there are:

    1) Realtek
    2) Intel HD Audio
    3) Nvedia HD Audio
    4) Creative sound blaster x-fi (optional for $20)

I tend to lose my realtek everytime I restart, and the creative console launch comes up as no device found.

    Thanks in advance,

The m11x R3 no longer has the option to choose this when you make a system.

Anyone know the story? Are they auto putting it on as I see a Creative directory in my Program files.

The sound on this versus the R2 is much more deep. R2 was flat sounding. So Im wondering if its a different realtek chip? Or something else (ie the creative).
