So yesterday I accidentally spilled Sprite on my R2. I opened the laptop and tried my best to clean it up with 99% rubbing alcohol. Only a bit of the Sprite went on the motherboard. Most of it stayed on the keyboard but some also went into the the part where the power button is. So this morning after things dried, I assembled it back together. The laptop turned on but I immediately got a sequence of 4 beeps which kept repeating. The screen remained black.

    What should I do now?

Edit: It seems that it was a memory problem. I just switched the seating slots of my ram and now it is working fine. Guess I got lucky this time

Correct, 4 beeps relate to RAM modules or sockets.

Glad you were able to fix it by re-seating the RAM modules.
