When ever I run a Steam shortcut game, my FPS drops. I was playing Guild Wars without Steam at 60FPS. I then added a GW shortcut to steam because I thought it would be cool, but it dropped my FPS down to around 20. What do you guys suspect is the problem?

Hmph, do you leave steam running when you open guild wars without steam?

    Yes, should I close Steam?

I'm not sure, i was thinking steam wasn't even open in the windows taskbar when you ran it without steam, thus windows maybe putting steam ahead in priority.

I will try to set Steams priority to low, and GW to high and see if it makes a difference, which it hasn't in the past.
