So i was busy with work and what not, just noticed theres the long awaited holidays sale on Steam. So recommendations etc. ?

From me would be do not buy FlatOut3, even if they pay you to play it, don't. Huge fan of FlatOut madness racing series, third one totally destroys the series...

Psychonouts definitely worth a play. Peggle is a nice time waster too... Just to name a few i seen so far... seem to be A LOT of deals...

I snagged Arkham City today on steam for 50% off. Runs on my R2 really well, and it's Batman... 'nuff said

Won't even run my games... Peak time sure, but seems steam got more than they can chew with the holiday sale :D

some good deals today, skyrim for a bit cheaper - for those who want it. Plants vs. zombies is nice on the road, can play for hours as well, don't really need much juice that one and is fairly good time passer.

Prototype is a great game, though buggy as hell. Creators probably were a bit ambitious. Great game non the less and totally worth the few bucks.

I hear good things about borderlands, but not my can of beer... Didn't get into all the cartoonish fallout kind of weird mix thing.

Borderlands is really a good game, especially if you can play coop with your friends :D

I'm thinking of getting Prototype, it looks crazy. But Steam's rejecting my credit card when it worked 8 hours ago... Busy servers, maybe.

I can totally vouch for Wings of Prey, I just finished downloading it and it runs very well. They really optimized the engine. It's only $5 today, great value for a WWII flight sim. :)

Bought Red Alert 3 yesterday... game is total rubish, i knew it wasn't gonna be good... but... meh does steam give refunds? Runs good at max setting though... doesn't seem to have m11x native resolution though. sad

i can say that C&C3 tiberium wars are totally worth the money if you got some friends to duke it out... its mad in an unlimited resources map :) 4 is... well... rubbish. Only nice cause you can play co-op but you can't cause not a soul is playing it.

Yeah I snagged Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath a year or so ago and it runs decently on the M11x. Unfortunately, just like most RTS games, big games with lots of units on the screen will result in a slowdown.

could be better deals for new years, but race driver: grid is totally worth the money, runs great on R3 too. I like counter-strike source as well, also same as pretty much all source games, runs great on the m11x.

also LA noire at 75% off which is great i suppose, though it isn't really my type of game.

I'm thinking seriously of Grid.... what kind of racer is it? Can I run it on max settings?

well i run it at max with anti aliasing at 4x, you should manage 2x even if not it will look great. trust me the game still looks awesome, if you got ps3 controller or some other one, it is even better. The cars feel lively, every single one is different to drive, can turn off traction control etc. which makes it maaaad! If you like racing games, this is the best one between simulator and arcade... it has the eye candy but still feels like the cars control the way they should especially without computer aids like break assist and stability control etc.

Anyways, get it, but playing racing games isn't very comfortable on m11x keyboard, so get a controller for that max joy :) and at 2.74£ its a bargain of the century...

only setback is that online servers are off, i think you can duke it out over hamachi though.

haven't even scratched the surface about how awesome the game it :) check some youtube reviews if you're not convinced it is sweet.

yeah so its totally worth it. ill look into if you can play with friends over LAN or something, wouldn't mind racing ya :)

I picked up Magic the gathing 2012 for like 3 bucks, I played the card game when it first came out with alpha and beta cards.... so I figured I would give the pc game a shot. Pretty cool and it supports alien fx too.
