    1) No, don't have experience with that particular thermal paste. I usually use Arctic Silver 5. But to be honest, most name-brand thermal pastes will perform well.

Don't kill yourself trying to specifically buy one brand / type of thermal paste over another, because the performance differences are so small that they might as well be within a margin of error.

    2) A bigfoot 1102 will not implicitly increase max range, but will increase performance at range (e.g. faster transfer speeds at certain distances). If you are actually using WiFi to transfer files between computers in your own network, this may make a difference. If you are using WiFi primarily to connect to a wireless router and get internet access, this will not make a difference.

The real benefit to a BigFoot WiFi adapter is that it is optimized to decrease latency. A 12ms latency between router and WiFi adapter gets reduced to 2ms. Again, this really doesn't make that much of a difference if you're using your WiFi connection to get on the internet or play online games. But it may make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I might consider buying a bigfoot 1102 and thank you for your detailed answer :)
