    Hey guys,

So it would seem I am getting a replacement R3 from Dell after my huge list of complaints seen in another thread. It should arrive by next week and I was wondering as far as drivers go which ones would I have to uninstall and install?

I know the video driver is the same. Are the intel HD drivers the same? What about the chipset? I know my wifi will be the same because I am replacing the wifi card with my current 6200.

    Thanks in advance,
    DeeVu

edit: I know a lot about my R2 but learning a new laptop will be interesting. Any facts to get me ahead of the game would be great. I know for instance that throttlestop won't do little if anything for the R3 :( but then again I hear it doesn't really need to because of how well it is. Any issues with it that I should keep an eye out for?

Don't worry about it, just swap the hard drives. Gone are the days of hardware related bluescreens. Windows 7 just reconfigures itself. Then install whatever might be left from the Dell website.

yea.. I did exactly that took my ssd from my r2 I7 to my R3 I7.. and I had no problems.. The only recommendation I would have is remove any hidden or ghosted duplicate devices from the device manager.. If you are not sure how just Google it and you will see it is easy.

I copied the drivers folder from my R3 over to my R2 hard drive and then swapped drives and installed the R3 drivers. You can do a swap and it will boot just fine, but there are some Q67-specific drivers you need to install that aren't in the R2 load............USB3.0, and gigabit LAN are two I can think of.

I would get the latest drivers from Dell's website though.

Sounds good but the biggest like the nvidia etc can be kept. Ill just download all of them and go from there when it arrives.
