You should search youtube for vids of L4D2 and TF2 being played on an M11x. I've seen quite of few of them and I can honestly say that you won't have any problem playing them on maximum settings.

i max l4d2 out, with anti aliasing and vsync off (AA on such a small screen is wasted, to be hinest), and tone down the filtering, because i don't see a difference/benefit.

in comparison, my 2009 white macbook could only run the game with low to medium detail, and even at medium there was still a little slowdown during mass hordes and such.

L4D 2 runs perfectly even with slight AA+AF. When playing TF2 expect minor slowdowns (nothing game breaking).. it appears to be a CPU intensive game.

I sold my old gaming laptop to get some money for a new desktop build. I still haven't built one yet and in the meantime "The Passing" was released for L4D2. With the cpu overclocked I play at 1440x900 with shaders set to medium (it crashed at anything higher since the new patch) and all other settings maxed minus AA and it works great. There are times when all I can see on the screen are 20-30 horde it stutters (pretty sure its the cpu) but usually then I am just meleeing and rushing forward so its not a big deal.

Must stutter at 1440x900, there's no slowdown at native res with 2x AA and 2x AF. Shader settings must be set to medium otherwise the game will crash, this problem affects all new nVidia cards.

Ya, you really should just stick to the native res of 1366x768 or 1280x720 (both 16:9 aspect ratios) if performance is suffering.

Though the 335m is a great midrange laptop GPU, going to higher resolutions than stock res most probably will kick the M11x's as it has a weak cpu.
