Hi. So got TWS2 in the Steam sale. Game launches fine (in DX9 mode, not DX10, but that's another problem), and the nvidia taskbar utility shows the GPU is active (no surprise since I whitelisted the exe). Unfortunately, the game thinks I'm using the Intel GPU, and has conveniently locked all visual settings to "low", and I can't change them.

Anyone else come across this problem and maybe have a solution? I have an R2.

not that it's a good solution but when i tried the game with dell's old stock drivers from the website it allowed me to change the settings. maybe 260.99 would work too?

I'm not going to rollback to Dell's old stock drivers just for one game, especially since most of the games I have installed require newer drivers. There must be a better solution out there.

Just an FYI for those interested, been over to the TW forums, and turns out Optimus has been broken for Shogun 2 since the game's release, and no fix in sight. *sigh* suprise surprise. There are some workarounds which work for some and not others, will report back which worked for me.

    Here's the relevant thread.
