Just got my m11x R2 and it's a nice piece of kit :)

Three questions though. The onboard speakers appear to be left-biased, as in most of the sound comes through the left of the laptop. Is this normal? I noticed in a dissection of the laptop that the left speaker was a bit larger, or better positioned, than the right.

Second is the lack of LoJack activation key or an icon to click on to activate it. I purchased CompleteCare (in Canada) and it clearly stated in the image there is LoJack protection included, but I tried activating it via the BIOS and nothing happened.

Third is a weird observation. I noticed a random moment where the screen's contrast went up temporarily for a few seconds before dropping back down to normal. Anyone noticed this at all?

I don't know about the first two, but the last one is most likely to do with the intel graphics. When power saving is enabled in the intel control panel this used to happen to me quite a lot. I haven't noticed it much lately, since updating the drivers... You could try that, or just go into the intel graphics properties and disable it:
You choose Power-> Power Features->On Battery->Check Display power saving technolgy and drag the slider up to quality.

The speakers are mounted all goofy, the left speaker is in the left, and the right speaker is in the center. They are both the same size, but are placed wrong in the laptop.

    Thanks for your answers guys.

Anything on LoJack? Can an American (in case this is a regional issue) m11x R2 owner chime in if they've got LoJack enabled on their laptop?
