    There is no sound in alienware m11x

    Things i've tried to do , formatted (many times) reinstalled many drivers ive seen on the net.
    I also changed a hard drive so I formatted again and reinstalled again the windows.
    sound controller shows 4 NVIDIA high def sounds thingys but there is no sound device in the computer...

    any toughts?

    um...I believe Realtek is the main audio driver for M11xs (at least that's what I see on mine). Make sure you download that if you already don't have it. You can find it on dells support site. If you indeed have the driver but are still experiencing problems, I suggest you call tech support to see what troubleshooting advice they can offer, you never know, it might end up being a hardware problem after all.
