    Hi Everyone,

I have an Alienware M11x laptop laying on this cooling product, Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Notebook Cooling Model NotePal U2 (R9-NBC-8PBK-GP) . I use an external 23" monitor as my primary as well as a keyboard and mouse. It does a fairly good job of keeping the laptop cool when Im browsing the web/watching youtube, but when I start playing a game, the belly of it gets pretty darn warm. The ventilation/ position of my laptop is fairly open, only close part is in the rear where there is 3" of space between the wall and laptop and everywhere else its fine.

So I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on how to cool it more, I was thinking about purchasing another coolmaster dock and putting all the fans on a single dock, but wanted to run it by some people. Thanks =)

to be honest the way the bottom feels doesnt mean much.

try installing some temp monitoring software to see actual temps inside and go from there. your laptop may be in no danger at all.

i use core temp for the CPU and evga percision for the video.

From what I get, and other people temps here, 45-55°C are normal for idle, and 70-80°C are normal for gaming...

That depends on your revision. For the R1, 45-50 is the highest it should get. For the R2, it'll go up to 70-80 normally.

Is it normal if my R1 normal temps are around 40-50 and when gaming sometimes up to 70 ? (I live in a dry and VERY Hot place(summer->up to 45 C))
[Also, I'm giving A LOT of space to make the m11x breed well].
