    hey all, I LOVE total war shogun 2 but my one complaint with it is that whenever I open it to play it takes FOREVER to open, like i can go downstairs make a sandwitch come back and still have to wait while it opens. does this happen to anyone else?

    Maybe your just really fast at making sandwiches? haha JK :)

    Have you tried a defrag? That could possibly improve the time taken.

    Shogun 2 does take forever to startup. It's on the Total War forums also. I usually do chores while it loads lolol. In game loading is fairly short and gameplay is smooth for me.

    It takes me nearly 1 minute to start up but in game loading is really fast.
    Mine is R2 i5 4gb ram.

    ok i just wanted to make sure it wasnt just me, has anyone with a SSD loaded this? how long does that take?
