I have a m11x r2 with the i3 330m. Recently I've been considering buying a i7 680um motherboard I saw in a thread a while back. I got this as a college laptop (been the best college laptop) so performance wasn't as important at the time and getting an i7 would've probably been $1300 vs $700. This will keep being my college laptop, but at some point I'd like to get a new laptop that's bigger like 13 or 14 inches. I'd rather not have to do that for a year or two, but I want a little more power. At this point in the R2's life is it worth the 250$ to upgrade?

Unrelated. Does anyone elses spacebar slide up and down a little bit on the left side (like it is slightly looser)? Is it something I could fix? It's not really a big deal since it doesn't affect anything, but it annoys me a little bit.
