    Hi all,
So i've finally been thinking on upgrading my i3 M11x to an i7.
As we all know, the processors are soldered into their motherboards. So i've been trying to look for an i7 motherboard that also has 8gb of ram, but i can't seem to find it. Could any of you help me find one and where should i go also to get my motherboard replaced with the i7?
Also has anyone else upgraded their Alienware? Just curious to hear all your stories. Thanks

RAM is separate from the motherboard, as it slots in. you just need the I7 board.

I was told to be able to replace your processor you couldn't because it was soldered in, so you have to replace the motherboard. So what I could do is take out the Ram slots out of my old motherboard and put it in the new motherboard is what you're saying?

Yes. good luck finding a new motherboard though, and the only advantage of the i7 over the i3 is the turbo ability (which is big at this performance level, as you can get an extra ghz out of it).
