Now, i got the intel 6300 card... i downloaded a load of drivers from intel, but the card even though detected and all the info is displayed perfectly wouldn't work, would just say "This device cannot start (Code 10)".

Now am i missing something that will make me feel silly, or did i get a faulty card...? cause it is quite odd, since all the info is displayed and all that like a normal working card.

i am still digging through the why could it not be working, so far discovering that certain cards work only with certain laptops... as in Manufacturer locked... which seems crappy as hell... also found few posts from HP owners saying that they need to whitelist the card's IDs... seems i didn't know as much as i thought about them stupid wifi cards...

    Anyways, anything to try?

i have tried the usual mumbo jumbo, reseat, reinstall drivers, try other drivers... as i said the card acts as if it is working, i can see all info about it...

Just so not to get "try turning it on and off" suggestions, i am fine with laptops, and i done pretty much all the checks that come to mind, just wondering if i missed something...

i was reading up online, seems some of the internet cards are locked sort of like phones to networks, just instead of networks its notebook manufacturers...same with laptops manufacturers(HP)... i doubt m11x would have that, especially as i am not the first to upgrade. I never seen how wifi cards react to this though, i'd imagine they wouldn't be detected at all or something.

As i said before, thing is, device manager discovers the card all fine, i can check all the info of it in the details section, only thing it doesn't display is resources, just says it doesn't use any cause it has a problem. i can even change settings of it in the advanced tab... it just has the yellow "!" thing by it, and doesn't work ;/

I have M11x R3 I7 with intel 6300 wifi card. Windows Home 64Bits. I don't have bluetooth and wwan card. I installed it like 1 week ago. It worked right away , i haven't installed any drivers...
You can have 3 antenna on the 6300. I leaved the middle antenna free and plugged left and right. Let me know if you want me to check something

Rep+ me if it helped :D
