The usb on the left side seems to be working fine when I initially put in a usb device. However a few seconds in it begins to disconnect and reconnect, like I am taking the usb device out and putting it back in, back and forth (when I am not). It is fully inside the usb port.

It's an issue because if I try to open that usb device it will close before I can even access my files. The two usb ports on the right side work fine.
    Solutions?

From the sounds of it, you may have a bad USB port. Test it with multiple USB devices first to ensure that it's not your device just being bad. If every USB device you try does this, then chances are you have a bad USB port. Something like this is probably covered under your warranty, I would definitely give dell a call.

here's the link for Dell's warranty stuff.

Question. When you put in the device, does a dialog put up saying "Installing Device Drivers"
Usually when I put something in, it will automatically install drivers for the device so its recognized. I'm just thinking maybe its not installing.
But chances are it is broke just as the above post said, call support.
