    Hello Everyone!

I heared that there is a Sim card slot, in the computer.

Is it useable?, because i saw somewhere that the M11x has no antenna, and have issues with it.

I will probably buy the computer in the US, - i got an internet plan at the mobile company "Orange", if i will plug in the Sim card from my iPhone it suppose to work like a netstick (i mean, as good as a netsitck?)
    or mabye not at all?

    Thanks for the help.

Sorry for my bad English ;)

    Useable.

    need:

    antenna

WWAN card, mini PCIe format. Full height.

If you order a Dell m11x with the WWAN card, the antenna will come preinstalled.

You need to have ordered your Alienware M11x with the optional WWAN broadband card, which costs an additional $130 USD at the time you ordered your laptop. If you did not pay for this, then your SIM card slot is useless.

Yes. Paying $130 for the WWAN option lets you get internet access on your laptop, anywhere that you have a cellular signal. Note, that you may want to check with your wireless carrier for any additional charges that you may incur, since it varies from country to country, and from wireless plan to plan.

And yes, when you order through the website or on the phone, select the WWAN option. It will cost $130 extra.

I don't know the answer to that one.

If you want to be absolutely 100% safe, then skip the option to get the WWAN card from Dell... you can get a USB stick that acts as a WWAN modem from your local cellular provider. It will be cheaper than $130, and has the added benefit of being able to be used on any computer (not just the Alienware M11x)

Thanks, but I prefer to use the built in one.

Does someone know if I can use the wwan card outside the us? (would be happy to hear from a user).
