    Folks,
Came across a cropper the other day - needed to plug in to a projector that was mounted on a high roof. Whilst the projector had HDMI the idiots that installed it only ran a VGA cable.

So looking for a gadget that can let me output 1024*768 to a VGA screen, thinking either some sort of display port convertor or USB to VGA convertor - anyone got one thats working for them?

    Neil.

    DisplayPort to VGA Cables

These handle the digital to analogue conversion. Work great. Hate that they're white though. You might find another source, but monoprice cables are generally great quality.

Thanks for the product link! I have been searching for sites that sells all these cables. Its common to find Mini-displayport conversion cables and adapters, but not so easy to find Displayport conversion cables. The Displayport conversion adapters are also easy to find.
