I love the M11x, the portability, cosmetics, battery life and power. I admire it to the point that I come to the m11x forum everyday :)

However, certain bad quality issues that the owners of m11x (R1 or R2) are suffering lead to great disappointment.

Honestly, I think everyone, who own the M11x suffered from the issue of screen touching the keyboard and/or hinge problem, should write a complain letter to Dell and let them aware of the inferior quality issue of the premium line laptops. Future improvement will never be implemented if we do not voice our concerns.

My question is, where can I actually send my complain letter to Dell and the management will actually pay more attention to this top of the line beast ?

    Thank you

there is no reason why any Alienware system should have poor build quality. It's Alienware! We're not talking some cheap plastic piece of crap Hewlett-Packard.

No, in just about every significant aspect these are Dell notebooks with an Alienware badge.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it wouldn't matter what you wrote in your letter, and to whom you wrote your letter.

Dell has not redesigned the Alienware M11x to fix build quality problems (e.g. hinges) because it's currently cheaper for them to just keep fixing the problems than it is to issue a redesign / recall of the laptop. Writing letters will not change this fact.

At the moment the only thing better than an HP envy in build quality are the unibody macs... and even that's debatable.

Well imo its more efficient to do research for a specific model and if it has known issues, just don't buy it. Money is all that capitalist companies understand, and thats why you need to vote with your wallet.

We have a thread in the main AW forum for posting opinions on AW. No need for another. Next time, do a search.

    Thanks.
