What drivers do we use for the R2? Is it the downloadable ones from nvidia's website? Or do we have to wait for special Optimus-compatible drivers to be released from Alienware/Dell's website? I tried searching for 'drivers' and couldn't find anything relevant to my question. Thanks in advance!

I just use the ones from the Dell web site, but then I am just playing simple games which work fine with those drivers - Darksiders, Dragpn Age, Torchlight, Half Life 2. Unless you have performance problems with a particular game you play, those drivers should suffice.

    Go here:

    Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Put in the details they ask - or you can have them automatically find what you need.

For R2, it should take you to this page:
    NVIDIA DRIVERS 266.58 WHQL

But you'll want to use the previous link in the future as it will automatically redirect you to the latest & greatest driver.

    Nvidia drivers 266.58.

No problems with any games except for Sim City 4 and Medieval II: Total War.

Sweet, thanks! I wasn't sure if we could use ones from nvidia's site or if some sort of special optimus branded drivers.

Hey, with regards to these drivers, I installed them and everything, and I've hooked my TV up to the m11x-R2 with a HDMI cable, but when its on the recommended Resolution through right clicking the desktop and choosing "screen resolution" a bit of each side is missing from the tv.
How do I re-size it? I dont appear to have any options for this and its bugging me so much :(

Sounds like an overscan-related issue to me. You'll have to find something in nvidia's control panel that'll allow you to change the overscan settings and fiddle with that until the black borders disappear. I'd give you more specific info, but my m11x still hasn't arrived yet. :(

The stock Dell drivers aren't very good performance-wise... but probably offer the most compatiblity. I'm currently using the 260.99 drivers, because the 266.58 ones give me too much grief with Left 4 Dead... (had shader problems, shiny white guns, crashes, etc)

Obviously if you use anything but Dell's approved drivers ,their tech support won't talk to you if you have problems. Just something to keep in mind.

See, theres nothing in there. Just options for:

    3D Settings
    Video

Whereas on my desktop, with an nVidia card, it has

    Display

as one of the options to select from, and in there are the options to resize the screen.
