Where can all the default Alienware Desktop Themes be found?

Hi,

I remembered being given a whole bunch of choices of which desktop theme I wanted when configuring my m11x under the "Select My OS customization", and I always thought that you could always change it yourself as they would ship the laptop with all these different themes.

My M11x came with the "Alienhead 3D" as that was what I picked originally, but I would like to test out the various other options like "Alien Cyborg", "Alien Red Glyphs"..etc or even the "AlienGuise Theme Manager with Breed Theme".

Do you know where within the system can I change to any of the above mentioned themes?

Not sure about the desktop wallpapers, but the breed theme can be downloaded from DELL. Under their driver section, enter the info for the laptop you have (or enter your service tag number, it'll find the the m11x from that) Under the applications section, the third option will be, custom desktop themes. That's the BREED download. It's a stardock program (Mycolors is the name of the plugin from stardock) It changes the whole look of windows, I liked it alot, but took it off, not sure how much of a hit resource wise it took up. Try it though, it's unique.

 

They were all preloaded on mine, the wallpapers anyway. I haven't looked into the theme yet.

 

Resources are low, if non existent. It cahnges your icons just like you could, and interface. It's not a program that is always running. It is unique, but displays some stuff a liitle wierd. Hasn't stopped me from using it.

 

I thought I saw the Mycolors process running? I could be mistaken, I ran it for a day, I like the whole feel it gave, different task bar etc... If not a resource hit, I'd use it, makes the laptop feel more custom. On a side note you can get 3 or 4 more free themes with the Mycolors (though I didn't like any of them) or you can pay for several others.

Can you double check your processes/services and see if it's running?

 

Right click on the desktop and select 'Properties'.

I guess mine did not come with the rest of the themes installed as I only see 1 theme installed under the Display "Change the vsiual and sounds on your compueter". I might try the Alienguise Breed theme thingy but am a little disappointed that I dont seem to have any other of the desktop themes pre-installed in mine.
