    hello,

I formatted my m11x cause I needed windows 7 pro, I downloaded all the drivers from the dell website but I couldn't find the youcam software. Its a nice little app to have around when messing for a few mins.

Anyone know where can I get it?

    cheers

I don't think so, the dvd included looks like it only contains a standard windows 7 home premium install...

Gonna have to call I guess.

    Thanks

Actually - you can download the Cyberlink Cam software directly from here:

    https://smartsource.dell.com/web/main.aspx

    requires registration though.. :)

Not sure why it isn't on the main download site.

    @ op/batboy - you're welcome - glad to help out.. ;)

@nickbarbs - interesting - I actually just finished rebuilding my machine again (trying to get a little bit better tweaked performance out of my SSD) - but I didn't get any error on the install - app works fine as well (well - I can see myself via the app - that's about as far as I test.. :D)... Any errors listed in the event viewer?

I am looking to repartition my M11x, and I need to download the youcam software. When I went to the Dell Downloads at smartsource.dell.com, I registered, it scanned my computer, and displays downloads for me. But the Cyberlink Youcam is not listed, only a bunch of different languages of Adobe Reader (which is pointless since it is freely availble from Adobe.)

Any ideas? Youcam is installed on my computer. But I want to be able to wipe my hard drive and reinstall using the windows dvd.

youcam is paid software (anybody else will have to pay for it, like)

i'd have thought a copy would be on a hidden sector on the hard drive, though.
