    Hi guys

My time with my R1 has been great, but my time with the Battlefield 3 Beta has also made me realise that it is time to move on.

    My system:

    R1
    SU7300 OC'd 1.73ghz
    GT 335m 1gb
    4 gigs of ram
    the 250 GB Hard Drive

My question is plain and simple, where is a good place to sell my M11x R1 for a reasonable price, (planning on upgrading to an 18x or building my own Desktop).
    T

    Thanks!

try craingslist first because its free, or an online forum marketplace like on overclock.net, then try amazon or ebay or classified ads maybe.

I was able to get $800 for my m11x R1 (su7300, 4GB ram, 335m, 500gb hdd) last week from a guy on Craigslist and I think that was a pretty good deal for me (to be fair I included Office 2010 student so that bumped the price up a bit).

I bought a $900 refurb m11x r3 (i5, 6GB ram, 1GB 540m, 500GB hdd) on eBay so for essentially a trade + $100 I couldn't be happier. My refurb arrived looking and working like brand new and has a year warranty and everything so there was really no reason to not buy it this way.

I'd imagine you'd want to do something similar.

Wow $800 for an R1 is a lot. R2 units on the forum sell for around $600-$700. I have mine listed on backpage and craigslist for $600 and haven't had much interest. I'm even including extras at that price.

I don't like craigslist. You never know who you're dealing with. I would def go with ebay... you'll have to shell out for seller fees but it's worth it.

    Try craigslist.

make sure to meet in a public place, though.

The NBR MarketPlace or any of the other sites mentioned above. With that, its time to close this as it really doesn't have anything to do with Alienware. ;)
