Hello again... You've all seen a lot of my threads clogging up the forum... apologies... :(

Anyway, for those of you that know me, I recently bought a M11X R3... Specs are below in sig...

Anyway, I've been playing around with it, Photoshop, Maya, Gaming (which i have found a new love for it... gaming on the move is mad as!!! Kills the time on the train or bored in the library... Where I should be studying... lol)

ANYWAYYYYYY.... I tried doing some simple rendering of a .mp4 file converting to .mov in After Effects... Then basically as soon as I hit "render" or am just playing in After Effects the Nvidia driver 267.21 crashes... I get this error from the tray... "display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernal Mode Driver, Version 267.21 stopped responding and has successfully recovered"....

Now I'm sure that updating the driver would fix the problem, but which driver to update to?

I scaned it through Nvidia's site and it recommends the driver "296.10".

I just want to know what the community are running and if they are having any troubles with it? Or if people know that driver 267.21 is faulty...

    Just wanna know what's stable.

    Cheers all. :)

267.21 is a really vague driver, not really popular. just update to the new one, I'm using the most current aka 290.10

I went with the 296.10, thougt updating to the latest would be best.
It seems stable, haven't had a single issue, so far with it.

Ran After Effects fine, even better actually. Smoother.

Crysis 2 is smoother aswell, not sure how many frames I'm getting, haven't DL Fraps yet.
    Will keep you posted though.

I thought I'd post here first because google showed complaints about some of the latest drivers, I think it was 280.5 or something...

All in all, no isues so far with this driver. :)

    Cheers all.

Yeah the last batch of drivers 28X was terribad, so bad...

260.99 is still my favorite driver, but this 29X series of drivers are pretty good so far :D

Yeah, that's what I was hearing.

I googled the 296.10 and all I could find were complaints... I guess no-one really posts anything anywhere with good experiences on drivers on the net... Which kinda makes sense... If something works, why bother posting about it really... :S

    What kind of complaints?

Granted I've only had mine since Monday and only played Starcraft II, but I haven't had any issues.
