G.skill SSD phoenix pro 120GB
or
OCZ Agility 2 120GB
Thanks for the help!

I have an OCZ Vertex 2 in my Desktop, and the thing is phenomenal--honestly, any SSD will show a great improvement in a laptop I think.

The Phoenix Pro is the same drive as the Vertex 2. The difference between the Vertex 2/Phoenix Pro and the Agility 2 is that the Agility only supports up to 10,000 IOPS (input/output operations per second) while the Phoenix supports up to 50,000 IOPS. This means if you're constantly accessing many small files, the Phoenix will be a faster drive.
If the agility is more than $30 cheaper than the phoenix, go for the agility. Otherwise, go for the phoenix -
OCZ Agility 2 120GB.
You will not notice any difference in real-world performance between those two drives. But I would get OCZ, because of the phenominal support and firmware updates they consistently release. -
The Vertex 2 120GB *should* be withing 10usd of the GSkill, so keep that in mind, too
[it's the faster one]

Phoenix...

Phoenix supposedly has higher access time. You should probably ask the guys in the SSD thread (sticky in Hardware subforum). Also there's Mushkin Callisto Deluxe with uncapped 4k random write (as Vertex 2). I just ordered 60GB version.

i have 2 phoenix pro 60gb and 120gb and both are extremely close in performance to my 60gb vertex II since they are basically same drives. The iops is the main difference and a big difference since most of the time and on boot a ton of small files are being loaded and the vertex II along with phoenix pro make a nice boost in performance on times.
