My Wi-Fi connection drops out approx. every 5 minutes, (even though the icon at the bottom says I have 5 bars)

This started recently, about 2 weeks ago, and it was working fine before then. It isnt the network because other devices can connect to the wi-fi with no problem.

Anyone know what is causing it and how to prevent it?

My boss's computer is having a similar issue. We haven't pinned it down yet. He went back to wired ethernet until we can backup/reinstall.

go to device manager and look for the network card, the dell 1520, and Disable "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and hit ok. hope this helps.

install the newest drivers on the dell website if it doesnt.
