    It is basically wired to the USB bus and not to the PCI Express bus. Most WLAN cards will not work here, some may. I had a netbook with a similar slot and found a specific WLAN card that worked but it was a specific model made to interface with USB only mini PCIe slots. On my M11X I use mine with the adapter below for my mouse's receiver.

    For me it's working. U can see 2 wifi card in my screenshot (M11x r2)
