    Hi I was thinking of getting a 60gb msata ssd for some extra space, but will it work? I dont wanna drop 70 bucks on one and have it not work. Also, will i get ssd level speeds with it?

    No, the mcpi slot on the r1 is a USB interface. So only USB items can go there.
