    Hi everyone,

I just bought a refurbished m11x for $500 and it will arrive here on this coming Wednesday.
I ordered it mainly for school and little gaming. I just realized that hinge has failed on a lot of users. My question is if I should stick with it or return it and find another brand because I hate to live in fear of that hinge will break anytime. On the other hand, its price, portability, performance and battery life is hard to complain. I don't think I can find another $500 lappy that can beat the m11x.
If I choose to keep it, anything I can do to prevent hinge from breaking? Thanks!

There are many without broken hinges - just to be clear on that point.

Stay away from DIY fixes if you are under warranty. If you open it up and epoxy the hinges and it breaks, forget about it being fixed by Dell. If it breaks while under warranty, just call them and it will be taken care of.

Regardless, we have a thread on this and follow-up can be posted there.
