It could've been a poor optimization in the drivers. Was it the GPU or CPU that had heat issues?

both CPU and GPU where about 20-30 degrees hotter then normal. i had the same drivers installed that im using on windows 7 now. Should i just stick to 7 for now?

Windows 10 is still work-in-progres so yes you should stick to Windows 7/8.1. Test Win10 only in Virtual Machine, not on real computer unless it's released.

Thinking about installing Win10 on my M11x R1 ~ Do you have any updates? Win10 is up to 9926 now, what version were (are) you using?

AFAIK newest Win10 release is about 10049 or something like that but PLEASE do not install it on real computer. This is test build for virtual machine. Drivers won't work properly, power management too and there will be many more problems. Install Windows 8.1 with all updates if you want fast system on older laptops.

Is there a reason why you'd want to run windows 10 on your main machine? Microsoft's OS's are buggy enough without being beta!

This is clearly the misguided post i'v read on this forum... Im running windows 10 on my m11xr-1 Perfectly fine runs smooth and is faster then W7. There is only 1 problem, and thats with the Alienware command center crashes, im about to reinstall it with compatability mode and im sure with will be 100% fine just like W10. ALL operating systems have there issues especially right on release.
