I did a successful system image backup yesterday before upgrading my SSD firmware today. Now when I try restoring the image back using the same built in tool from Windows 7, it sees the image but will not let me proceed. The system says it will need to restart and format the drive and use either the install disc or I need to create a boot disk. Well the boot disk keeps failing to create and when I boot from the Alienware Install disk, it keeps reinstalling Windows and doesn't give me an option to install from the system image. This is driving me nuts! I thought leaving OSX to Windows 7 would be a smooth transisition for me, but this restore process is extremely confusing and clunky. Anyone have ideas how to reinstall from a system image backup??

When you install windows, There will be an option at the bottom lefthand side, restore from system image/backup.
