It's probably just a problem with the software I have installed, but I thought I would check in case others have the same problem.
I have only Microsoft Security Essentials installed for virus software.

Exactly what error do you get? It went fine on my R2. The only error i have experience of on a different machine so far is one that was ghosted to a new drive. This had to have a drive letter assigned to the 100MB windows partition. Worked perfectly after that.

If you are running a very early version of security essentials or forefront client you will get this. The sp1 install will point you to a kb to get the update. Worst case, uninstall security essentials and reinstall after so1 update. There are a very limited number of installs that will do this though.

I worked for hours with a Microsoft tech yesterday as he took over my computer and tried to fix it, but was unable to fix it. It's just a generic error message 80004005.
Rumor on the Internet is that it has to do with people who got Windows Mail working with Windows 7 by copying over files from Vista - which is what I did so that my husband could get his emails on the m11x when we are on vacation.
Don't know how to fix it exactly. Maybe I'll try temporarily cutting and pasting Win Mail files to an external drive and see if SP1 will be fooled enough to install.

Im just having problems downloading it. It got half way done, then froze. So I stoped and restarted it. Then after a few trys it said it was downloaded... so I hit instal.... then it froze on the install halfway... so I canceled, turned off the computer, but it started doing the install anyways. So it froze again, had to hard restart and then restore it... pain to install.
